D-TALE Faculty Present Training Program for Visiting Chinese Educators

In conjunction with the Stony Brook University Office of Global Affairs, the School of Professional Development created a 10-day educational training program designed as an in-depth, cross-cultural teaching and learning opportunity. The event was held January 10th at the Charles B. Wang Center and was hosted by Jun Liu, Stonybrook’s Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Dean of Academic Programs and services.

"Dr. Craig Markson of the School of Professional Development commented that, “While we heard about the cultural differences in how China and the United States organize and implement their educational systems, we all benefited from the sharing of ideas on our common goal of how to best prepare students for success in the ever-changing 21st century global economy.”
