This hands-on teaching kitchen workshop is for students who want to learn more about allergen- friendly cooking. The recipe chosen is from our OASIS station, which is the dedicated allergen - friendly station with foods prepared without any of the top nine allergens. During this workshop, you will learn the resources on campus that can support your growth here at SBU and how to enjoy all of your campus dining meals.
This workshop is open to the first twelve students who register to attend.

Ms. Gonzalez was the 2nd Place Winner of the International Cake Decorating Contest at the Javits Center in New York City and is one of the top 10 bakers in the world! She will share her invaluable wealth of baking knowledge and top tips and tricks to bake the best cupcakes for Shark Week!

This easy-to-make recipe is made with ingredients that are widely available at the grocery store. The foods individuals eat the most often may have an effect on how they feel, not just physically but mentally and new menus that feature exciting and delicious mood-boosting ingredients, can reduce stress and help students to take care of their mind and body.

This workshop will help you locate resources for local farmers’ markets, teach you how to start growing your own produce and understand the nutritional benefits of local and home-grown fruits and vegetables. Learn to plant seedlings in compostable seed starters and grow your own herbs.
