sustainability and our food systems. This workshop will help you locate resources
for local farmers’ markets, teach you how to start growing your own produce and understand
the nutritional benefits of local and home-grown fruits and vegetables. In addition,
learn to plant seedlings in compostable seed starters and grow your own herbs.

Allergen Workshop and Teaching Kitchen with Laura Martorano, RD - CANCELED
This hands-on teaching kitchen workshop is for students who want to learn more about
allergen-friendly cooking. The recipe chosen is from our OASIS station, which is the
dedicated allergen - friendly station with foods prepared without any of the top nine
allergens. During this workshop, you will learn the resources on campus that can support
your growth here at SBU and how to enjoy all of your campus dining meals.
