Dr. Jun Liu
Dr. Jun Liu is Vice President/Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Dean of International
Academic Programs and Services with the academic appointment of Professor of Linguistics
at State University of New York, Stony Brook. Prior to this new position, Dr. Liu
was Associate Provost for International Initiatives, Chief International Officer,
Director of Confucius Institute and Professor of Applied Linguistics at Georgia State
Dr. Qun Xie is a professor of Comparative Literature of School of Foreign Languages
at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. She has spent over 20 years teaching
English and comparative literature to college students in China. She got her master
degree in English Language and Literature at Central China Normal University. In 2004
she received her PhD in Literary Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since
August of 2018 she has been appointed by ZUEL and Hanban to work as the Chinese Director
Muzi Li is a Chinese language instructor for the Confucius Institute at Stony Brook
University. She has been a Chinese language instructor Zhongnan University of Economics
and Law (ZUEL) since 2006, prior to which she taught Chinese language at Huanggang
Normal College from 2002-2004. In 2011, Ms. Li spent a year at Stony Brook University’s
Confucius Institute. She is a certified National PSC Examiner and holds a Master’s
in Chinese Modern Literature from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Mei Xiong is an Chinese language instructor from Zhongnan University of Economics
and Law (ZUEL). She began teaching at ZUEL as a lecture in 2009. She earned her master's
degree in Linguistics in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2005.
She is appointed by ZUEL and Hanban to work as a Chinese language instructor for CI-SBU
from August 2018 to August 2020.
Yan Ye is a visiting scholar at Stony Brook University (SBU), delegated by Beijing
Language and Cultural University (BLCU). With Bachelor’s degree in International Economics
from Renmin University of China, and Master’s Degree in Management from University
of Manchester, Ms. Ye supervised and co-led international cultural programs between
different countries and regions and BLCU, and promoting cross-cultural exchanges between
China and the rest of the world. She is now teaching conversational Chinese and China’s
culture for SBU faculty and staff. She is also working at Office of Global Affairs
SBU, designing programs that elevate the influence and global presence of SBU, and
deepening the strategic collaboration with partner universities in China.
