HELPFUL CAMPUS INFORMATION

One of our top priorities is to ensure that every guest has a smooth, enjoyable experience while attending an event at Stony Brook University. We have provided some information here to help you feel more at home while you are enjoying the campus and surroundings.

Stay Connected: Wi-Fi Internet Access

Getting connected is easy. Just use the network labeled “WolfieNet-Guest” -- no password required. Users must agree to accept the WolfieNet-Guest Wireless Policy. If you need help getting connected, please call 631-632-9800.

Getting Around Campus

Learning your way around campus is a snap with this interactive map. You can also print a map to carry with you. For information on building access for guests with disabilities, check this accessibility index or contact Disability Support Services.

SBU has partnered with DoubleMap to provide a new tracking system that offers an easy and convenient way to view real-time information on SBU Transit vehicle locations from your smartphone, tablet, or web capable devices. To see this in real-time, click this link, or read how to download the app here. Through this partnership there is increased visibility and it provides the campus community with current vehicles locations and arrival times for SBU Transit buses, shuttles and vans. The new mobile applications have updated user interfaces and navigation tools, which are expected to improve accuracy and reliability.

Off Campus/Connecting Transportation

Visitors are encouraged to look into sustainable transportation options, which make a minimal impact on the natural environment. Among these are the Long Island Rail Road, Suffolk County Transit Buses, Shuttle Buses, and the Port Jefferson Ferry, to name a few.

For guests with disabilities, the campus offers a wheelchair-accessible shuttle van and information about access to surrounding areas through Suffolk County Accessible Transportation (SCAT). Please contact Disability Support Services for scheduling and more information.
