Answer: Your Academic Advisor will be able to review your degree requirements with you. You can also call the Registrar’s Office at 631-632-6175 (option #1) to apply for graduation.
Answer: The Registrar’s Office is accepting late applications if you missed the deadline. The office is located in the Administration Building. Please note that late appliers may NOT have their name printed in the program.
Answer: Eligible candidates will receive a SOLAR message that includes information about the Ceremony Registration Form. This form can be located on the homepage of your SOLAR account. Completing and submitting the form automatically registers you to attend and secure your 3 guest tickets for the University's Main Commencement Ceremony. The deadline for registration is Sunday, May 6, 2018 at midnight.

Answer: If you did not apply to graduate or if you have not been approved for graduation by the Registrar’s Office and your Department, a Ceremony Registration Form will not be available on your SOLAR account. UNDERGRADUATES should check your graduation status with the Registrar’s Office and your Department Advisor, GRADUATES check with the Grad School, SPD with SPD, and Health Science students should check with Health Sciences.
Answer: Once you fill out the Ceremony Registration Form, 3 tickets are automatically reserved in your name for the Ceremony. Please note that the CRF closes December 4, 2017.On December 5, all registered Candidates will receive an email to their SBU email account with instructions on how to obtain their 3 guest tickets for Commencement.
Answer: Candidates who have successfully completed the "Ceremony Registration Form" will have 3 guest tickets reserved in their name. Unfortunately we are unable to provide any extra tickets but offer an alternative viewing space in Frey Hall as well as live stream of the Ceremony on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sbu-live-events.
Answer: Unfortunately, Commencement tickets are not mailed. They are emailed to registered Candidates and available electronically to be either presented on a mobile device or printed the day of Commencement.
Answer: Children 3 and under do not require a ticket but may not occupy a seat and must sit on an adults lap. Children over 3 years of age require a ticket.
Answer: Honors Candidates will be notified by email. On behalf of the Office of the Provost, a complimentary honor stole will be given.
