Dr. Khosronejad, Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, Gains Attention for Research Focusing on Respiratory Flow
Dr. Khosronejad and collaborators recently published a paper in the American Institute of Physics
(AIP) journal
Physics of Fluids
focusing on respiratory flow and breathing while wearing or not wearing a face mask.
Dr. Khosronejad's research determined that simply breathing without a face mask can
transport saliva droplets 7 feet or more. Several news outlets picked up the story
and have published articles based on Dr. Khosronejad's results. Web articles have
been written up in the
American Institute of Physics,
News Medical
and
EurekAlert
to name just a few.
