2020 General Election

 

Tuesday, November 3, 2020 (New York)

If you have never registered to vote before in New York, or if you need to update your voter information in New York:

    • Register to Vote BY MAIL - Postmarked to local board of elections no later than October 9, 2020
      • Received by local board of elections no later than October 14, 2020
    • Register to Vote IN PERSON - Received by local board of elections no later than October 9, 2020
    • Change of Address - Received by local board of elections no later than October 14, 2020
    • Change of Party Enrollment - Received by local board of elections no later than February 14, 2020

If you have registered to vote in New York and want to participate in absentee voting:

    • Request Absentee Ballot BY MAIL - Postmarked to local board of elections no later than October 27, 2020
    • Request Absentee Ballot IN PERSON - Received by local board of elections no later than November 2, 2020
    • Submit Absentee Ballot BY MAIL - Postmarked to local board of elections no later than November 2, 2020
      • Received by local board of elections no later than November 10, 2020
    • Submit Absentee Ballot IN PERSON - Received by local board of elections no later than November 3, 2020
      • Cannot be submitted by the voter

Early Voting for the 2020 General Election in New York will be from October 24, 2020 to November 1, 2020.
