Robust and Intelligent Integration of Microgrids

CIEES Intern: Abdul Lnu

CIEES intern Abdul Lnu

Abdul is an Electrical Engineering undergraduate developing a real-time, low-latency communication software for connected energy storage. This project will demonstrate an integrated microgrid management system that is capable of accepting a wide range of distributed generation and electric loads while maintaining power quality. The system used BRENERGYTM4850 Li-ion battery, manufactured by Brentronics LLC (Commack, NY). The battery supports high power discharge rates supporting applications that need high peak power such as electrical motors, generators and equipment that have non-level load requirements while also providing storage/ buffering for stationary and portable on/off grid hybrid energy systems.
