How to Apply
Undergraduate Scholar Track
IMSD-MERGE is currently accepting applications for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applicants must be available to participate in a summer research internship that will run from May 29th through August 4th, 2017. Should you be selected as an IMSD Scholar you will be required to participate in an ongoing series of programs and research activities throughout your junior and senior years (including summer) coordinated by the program leadership. Application Checklist: For best consideration, each of the following items must be received by the CIE office by the application deadline:
1) Completed online registration form
2) 1-2 page personal statement where you describe what you hope to gain from the program and how this research experience provided by the program will help you achieve your academic and career goals. A competitive and complete statement will include a description of the following:
a) Details about any relevant research experience you have had in an academic or work setting;
b) Your goals beyond the baccalaureate degree; and
c) The qualities you possess that you think will contribute to the program and the other interns.
The priority deadline for applications is March 15th, 2017. Applications will be accepted rolling thereafter if program appointments remain available.
