Emmanuel Asare was born in Ghana and migrated to the Bronx, NY. He graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in Biology. In his undergraduate summers, he participated in REU programs at Fordham University, Clarkson University (McNair), and the American Museum of Natural History. Thereafter, he received the NSF BD fellowship to Stony Brook University’s Genetics program. He was mentored by Dr. Eckard Wimmer and Dr. Aniko Paul at the Molecular Genetics and Microbiology Department for his Ph’D.
