Michael Caprio
Michael Caprio is a core programming volunteer at the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe,
and has been a software engineer and architect and an innovation consultant for almost
25 years. He has been a startup founder and has worked for world class institutions
and Fortune 50 companies, making significant contributions to vision, design, and
innovation, and has been responsible for product and code development and management
in all his roles.
Michael also has a strong background in open source development and program management with large contributor communities. Over the last decade he has established multiple global organizations and recruited thousands of community members who have volunteered their expertise for open-source science and technology. He has participated in and won many hackathons and has produced them for institutions including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NASA, and the American Museum of Natural History and for companies including Red Bull, eBay, Time Inc., Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery.
