Dr. Wei is currently one of two Project Scientists for NASA's Earth Science Data
and Information Systems (ESDIS), as well as the lead scientist at the Goddard Earth
Science Data and Information Services Center (DISC). In these roles, she provides
guidance to promote awareness of NASA's earth data and services among science
teams and the user community, advocates for user needs from research and application
communities, and broadens the user community by participating in pertinent NASA earth
science team meetings, user/application workshops, conferences, and forums.
Dr. Wei has been actively working with ESDIS since late 2010. Her expertise in data science has been critical in improving the discoverability, accessibility, and usability of earth science data holdings. Additionally, she has collaborated with various agencies, including NASA, NOAA, NCAR, LLNL, Argonne, and universities, further enriching her vast and diverse scientific knowledge in the field of earth sciences..
