I am Rajat Kumar. I studied Instrumentation and Control Engineering as an undergraduate in India, followed by a short stint as an engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry. Afterwards, I started my doctorate in Biomedical Engineering at the Stony Brook University (2015-2021), wherein I worked on computational modeling of psychiatric illnesses and improving signal-to-noise ratio for Functional MRI (fMRI) data. Currently, I am working as a Research Scientist at Amazon and work on developing Alexa's Natural Language Understanding (NLU) models. Aside from professional life, I spend my time playing table-tennis and participating in hackathons!
