ABSTRACT

Extreme Scale Scientific Machine Learning

Scientific machine learning is an active research area to enable scientific discovery using the state of the art AI/ML in across complex science and engineering challenges and opportunities. We are developing not only novel scientific AI/ML methods but also applying both state of the art and novel algorithms to various scientific challenges including large scale distributed optimization, surrogate model developments, Bayesian inference, optimal experiment design, physics constrained / guided machine learning, causal inference, optimal controls using reinforcement learning, etc. We'll briefly go over our active research areas and brainstorm the potential collaboration opportunities.
