ABSTRACT

When Curiosity is Queen, the Challenging Future of Expert Driven Sensemaking

What if there's a reframe to the paradigm of 'data driven decision making'? If we shifted paradigms could we empower more people to make use of data? Today, only 95-98% of an organization's personnel are data scientists. Executives feel the squeeze of competition and see their data stores as a strategic asset to fuel decision making; they've invested heavily in digital modernization and more data analyst centric tools. But they're still struggling to 'put it in the minds' of their front line experts and staff. How might we re-design human machine interfaces to connect expert minds with their data and fuel a revolution in how we use information to drive competitive sense making?
