Othmar Ammann Endowed Scholarship In Civil Engineering

The Othmar Ammann Scholarship in Civil Engineering was established in memory of Othmar Ammann, who was a prominent engineer, most well-known for his accomplishments in the field of bridge-design engineering.  The scholarship provides support, in the amount of a  full tuition scholarships at the New York State resident rate, for junior, senior or master's level civil engineering students in good academic standing. This scholarship will be awarded in two payments,  which is contingent upon the recipient’s ability to maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.

To qualify for the Othmar Ammann Scholarship, interested students must:

A. Be declared as a Civil Engineering major

B. Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or Master's level student (minimum 12 credits) in the College of Engineering and applied Sciences for the full academic year (BOTH the fall and the spring semesters)

C. Be a Junior or a Senior undergraduate student or a Master's level student maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average to remain eligible for the scholarship

Interested candidates should submit the following documents:

1. A completed application form

2. A one-page statement outlining personal and professional / academic goals as they relate to your interest in Civil Engineering

3. A resume

Important Notes:

All scholarship awards are subject to renewal of the scholarship by the donor and receipt of funding for these awards.

If selected to receive this scholarship, you will be required to furnish this office with a letter of thanks to the donor of the scholarship. Details will be specified in the scholarship offer letter.
