The Project Management for Healthcare Certificate is industry-focused training for
current or aspiring project management professionals who seek to enter or grow their
careers in the healthcare sector.
In this program, participants learn how to apply real-world tools and practices to:
Meet and manage the unique professional challenges of healthcare projects.
Initiate, plan, execute, and control projects that deliver on time, on budget, and
according to specified quality requirements.
Manage project resources.
Communicate and negotiate effectively with project stakeholders, while managing team
and stakeholder dynamics.
Manage project risk by designing risk plans.
35 professional development units/contact hours* and is presented in an 100% online, predominantly asynchronous format. Participants
engage in frequent one-on-one interaction with the instructor, participate in three
class-wide synchronous meetings, and work hands-on with an assigned cohort to develop
a case study. Learning is enhanced through active group discussion with fellow classmates
who work in the healthcare industry.

*Upon completion of this Certificate, participants involved with PMI’s Professional
Certifications are awarded 35 Contact Hours toward acquiring or 35 PDUs toward maintaining
their Certification. This includes the 35-contact hour requirement for the 2021 PMP
Examination. These contact hours or PDUs have no expiration date and can be used in
any future Certification applications.
