Dr. Will Far, is an astrophysicist and joins us with a joint appointment with the Simons Foundation Flatiron Institute.
Dr. Will Farr is an astrophysicist and joins the College of Arts and Sciences with a joint appointment with the Simons Foundation Flatiron Institute. His research interests include gravitational-wave astronomy, compact object formation and evolution, the gravitational dynamics of planets and stars, and astrostatistics. He earned his B.S. in physics from the California Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He held postdoctoral positions at Northwestern University before moving to Birmingham in 2013 as a lecturer at the Institute of Gravitational Wave Astronomy at the University of Birmingham.
