Dr. Phil Armitage is a computational astrophysicist who studies the astrophysics of extrasolar planetary systems, protoplanetary disks, and black holes.
Dr. Phil Armitage is a computational astrophysicist. He studies the astrophysics of extrasolar planetary systems, protoplanetary disks, and black holes. He is the author of over 100 journal articles in peer-reviewed journals and a graduate text in astrophysics, and has garnered over $5M in funding for his research. He holds a BA and PhD from the University of Cambridge, and joins the College of Arts and Sciences from the University of Colorado, where he holds a joint appointment between the Department of Physics and the JILA laboratory.
