My name is Alice Mo and I’m a senior, majoring in Philosophy. In Philosophy, I have
particular interests in ancient philosophy, existentialism, and political philosophy.
I’m currently working on my honors thesis, which is on Plato. I am the President of
Stony Brook’s Undergraduate Philosophy Club whose aim is to foster a community of
critical thinkers. I’ve also been a peer tutor and teaching assistant for courses
in logical reasoning and political science. In my time off-campus, I’ve interned at
different city and county governmental agencies. I’m grateful to have received some
of Stony Brook’s awards and fellowships: Alumni Association Past Presidents Scholarship,
Ted Weiss Award, Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship, Laura Newman Olle Scholarship
for Women in Liberal Arts, Presidential Scholarship.
