Stony Brook Handshake
Handshake is the only job posting site at Stony Brook University and serves as the Career Center's recruiting and career services platform for students, alumni and employers.
- Students and alumni can use Handshake to easily connect with employers, search for jobs and internships, review career fair/event information, and manage on-campus interviewing.
- Employers can use Handshake to post jobs and internships and identify qualified candidates for open positions, register for career fairs and manage on-campus recruitment activities. Employers can also search and proactively reach out to candidates directly.

Current Students
Enrolled undergraduate and graduate students can login to Handshake using your Stony Brook University NetID and password.
New Students Please Note: Please DO NOT create an account. One week after registering for classes, you will be able to access your Stony Brook Handshake profile by using your NetID and password.
Employers
Employers with a Handshake account can login using your email and Handshake password. Employers new to Handshake should create their account and connect with Stony Brook University.
Alumni
ALREADY HAVE AN ALUMNI ACCOUNT?
If you already have set up your Alumni Handshake account, you can login to Handshake using your alumni or personal email. Make sure to select "sign in with your email address" to login.

If you used Handshake as a student, but never updated your email address after graduation, please complete the request form to have your account converted.
NEW TO HANDSHAKE AND NEED AN ACCOUNT?
If you are a Stony Brook University graduate and never had a Handshake account, please complete the request form and allow two business days for us to process your request.
