Graduate Student Services

The Career Center provides career coaching and support for students in MA, MS, and PhD programs who are interested in entering private industry, government, and the non-profit sector.  Graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of Career Center resources, services, job fairs, workshops, and other networking opportunities.

About Jessica

Jessica Roman joined the Career Center in August 2022 as the Sr. Career Coach for Graduate Students and Career Coach for the Applied Sciences and Research Career Community. Jessica’s goal when coaching students is to understand each student's individual goals in order to provide them with the resources and skills they need to succeed in their career journey. 

Jessica earned her Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education with a concentration in Mathematics from St. John’s University and her Masters of Arts in Postsecondary Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Student Affairs from San Diego State University. Jessica has been working in the field of Student Affairs for 8 years, her previous experiences have been in Residential Education. The skills she acquired through her previous experiences have helped her transition into her new role.
