Role:    In her role, Urszula oversees the student employment and experiential learning functions in the office. In addition, she connects and maintains relationships with recruiting organizations in varied industries including healthcare, research and nonprofits. Urszula's goal is to enhance student employment practices on campus and create meaningful experiences for all students, by the successful implementation of internships, co-ops, student employment initiatives and community outreach programs that create conditions for the professional and personal success of each and every student.  

Professional Background:    Urszula received her B.S. in Economics and MBA from Cracow University of Economics. She also earned her Master of Science in Business Management and Policy from Stony Brook University. Urszula came to the Career Center with corporate experience in human resources and business development. Urszula is an active member of NSEE, MNYCCPOA, and NSEA, and has served on numerous national boards, committees and taskforces over the years. Her expertise in career development, employer relations, recruitment, grant management, assessment and evaluation brought great accomplishments, including numerous grants totaling close to $1M. She is a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service, Student Affairs Distinguished Service Award, The Sister Margaret Ann Landry Lifetime Achievement Advising Award and other prestigious awards.

Favorite Thing About Her Job:    Urszula feels it is an absolute privilege to work with the Career Center’s talented staff, amazing colleagues from the university community, wonderful industry experts and incredible students who constantly impress her. She is strong believer in the value of developing meaningful work experiences that contribute to a student's future success and broaden their outlook on life. She loves the work she does at Stony Brook University and continues to assist students in reaching their goals and employers in meeting their hiring needs.
