Role: Jimmy helps provide a sense of direction to business students as they think about their careers and their career paths. He assists students in developing career strategies that give them a chance to move their lives forward in a meaningful and successful way.
Personal/Professional Background: As a Career Coach and Talent Acquisition Specialist, Jimmy aligned himself with several universities, teaching, mentoring, advising, lecturing and conducting workshops specific to Career Development, Career Transition and Career Disruption. Known as 'The Connection from Classroom to Commerce', Jimmy is the career GPS offering solid insight to his clients that helps them create strategic plans to move their professional lives forward.
Jimmy is the Chairman of the Education Committee for the Advertising Production Club of NY. The APC-NYC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to a community of production and creative professionals in traditional, digital and emerging media. The APC provides educational programs and networking opportunities designed to keep the members informed about new technologies, best practices and industry trends. They raise scholarship money for students in the NY Metro area.
Jimmy's began his career as an award-winning commercial photographer in NYC. As a creative service provider creating content for global advertising agencies and publishing companies, his work represented brands like Mattel, P&G, Fisher Price, Scholastic Publishing, Conde Nast, Hearst and others, Jimmy had a very prolific and successful career. In 2007, Jimmy had career-ending eye surgery and learned firsthand what career disruption and professional re-invention is all about.
