Internship Support Office
The Internship Support Office at the College of Business is a resource for both students and employers.
Through seminars and one-on-one counseling, students can receive the guidance and advice they need to be prepared for competitive internship programs. Seminars are offered each semester on the internship search process, interviewing skills and business etiquette, resume and cover letter writing, career network development, and how to receive academic credit for an internship. Additionally, the office works in conjunction with the Stony Brook University Career Center and College of Business faculty.
Employers interested in creating or enhancing student intern positions can consult with Professor Higuera. He will also make certain that the job/internship posting created by the employer in Handshake is fed directly to the College of Business Internship Support Office, making it easier for business students to find. Employers interested in creating or enhancing student intern positions can consult with Kimberly Joy Dixon, Director of Employer Engagement & Diversity Recruitment at our SBU Career Center.
The Internship Support Office is located in 102 Harriman Hall and is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 am to 5 pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 5 pm on those days in which classes are in session. We do not use appointments; simply come in during our hours. If you must send Professor Higuera an email, you may do so at firstname.lastname@example.org.
