The Stony Brook Autism Initiative is a University-wide effort to join together researchers,
clinicians, staff, and students across Stony Brook in support of individuals across
Long Island on the Autism Spectrum.
To address the complex needs and bolster the inclusion of individuals on the Autism Spectrum, the Autism Initiative has 3 core objectives:
Research and Clinical Services
We aim to advance the University-wide mission of world-class excellence in research and clinical work through cutting-edge, integrative projects and services that capitalize on the diverse expertise throughout Stony Brook.
We aim to unify Autism-related efforts across campus, such that the unprecedented interconnection among clinicians, researchers, scholars, students, and other stakeholders across Stony Brook can act as a force multiplier to amplify the scope and impact of the work on the Autism field and community.
We wish to foster a sense of community, inclusion, and acceptance for individuals with ASD and their families on campus and in the broader community.
