The Master of Arts in Global Asias offers interdisciplinary training designed to develop critical perspectives across a wide range of fields—from Asian and Asian diaspora studies to multilingualism, intercultural communication, literary and translation studies, and intellectual history.

The program prepares graduates for diverse career paths, including Asian language teaching, global business, government, nonprofit leadership, education, and communication, as well as advanced doctoral studies in Asian and Asian diasporic languages and cultures. Students also gain access to practical experiential learning and professional development opportunities.

We welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds who are eager to engage deeply with Asia and Asian diasporas in today's interconnected, multicultural world.

  • Tracks: Foundations Track and Korean Humanism Track

  • Credits: 30 credits (10 courses)

  • Duration: 18–24 months (3 to 4 semesters)

  • Teacher Credentials: Relevant MA degree for certified teachers of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean seeking master's-level qualification

  • Funding: Full-tuition scholarship opportunities available for the Korean Humanism Track
