The Museum of Chinese in America in New York City is looking for college interns take part in orientation, professional development seminars, and conduct exhibition/program related research and outreach: "Spring interns are encouraged to commit 14 work hours or more per week for the period from January 29, 2018 to May 4, 2018. The New York Southeast Asia Network (NYSEAN) was founded in 2015 with financial support from the Luce Foundation. NYSEAN is a networked center for the study of Southeast Asia, administratively based at Columbia University with core collaboration from New York University and Seton Hall University; and has a range of other partners in the Tristate area. We are looking to recruit a part-time Network Co-ordinator, physically located in the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia, to administer and further develop NYSEAN, working closely with the four academic co-founders. The NYSEAN is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Weatherhead East Asian Institute which brings together scholars, students and policy-makers from the greater New York area with an interest in Southeast Asia, and creates partnerships with colleagues elsewhere in the world. Duties include planning, coordinating and implementing, through consultation with faculty and senior staff, all aspects of NYSEAN/Weatherhead events, including speakers' programs, conferences, symposia, and other public events. This involves corresponding with participants and attendees domestically and overseas regarding conference plans, making site and all other logistical arrangements, negotiating with vendors and managing program budgets, compilation of related program materials, handling advertising and publicity, and hiring and supervising part-time workers as needed.
