Megan Hines

Megan Hines is a PhD candidate and Graduate Council Fellow in Art History & Criticism at Stony Brook University. She works on the history of modern and contemporary American art and its intersections global social histories, with a focus on developments in new media and the life sciences. Feminist and queer studies and eco studies play a crucial role in her research, which is centered around the role of biotech in shifting understandings of gender, the self, and the environment.She has acted as a curatorial researcher for many exhibitions, including Postwar--From the Pacific to the Atlantic: 1945--65, Haus Der Kunst, Munich, 2016--2017; and Tomorrow Is Another Day: Mark Bradford, American Pavilion, Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy, May—November 2017
