Glenn Weinberg manages Joule's Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) and REV initiatives. He is spearheading a multi-stakeholder partnership with NYSERDA and several others to launch a comprehensive community-scale program integrating CCA with various sustainable energy initiatives like community solar, microgrids, and aggregated demand management. Glenn also has been fundamental to scaling New York State's first CCA program in Westchester County, working with non-profit Sustainable Westchester on community education, outreach and recruitment efforts, drafting legislation and policy recommendations, supplier relations, procurement process, and contract development.
Before joining Joule Assets, Glenn was teaching environmental sociology and urban sustainability at Brooklyn College and Queens College. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and is working on completing doctoral research at the City University of New York on decentralized electricity policy and smart grid industry development.
