Frank van Mierlo is the CEO of 1366 Technologies, a solar technology company with the goal of making silicon-based solar cells competitive with coal generated electricity. In October 2015, 1366 announced plans to build a commercial factory in Western New York. Frank has more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and engineering at leading technology companies across the globe. Prior to his work with 1366 Technologies, he was the co-founder and CEO of Bluefin Robotics Corporation, where he achieved double-digit sales growth and successfully managed the sale of the company to Battelle in 2005. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.
