Jasmine Universe

Mr. Germano is the Director of Energy Market Services for Jasmine Universe, LLC, overseeing the day to day operations of Jasmine Universe, LLC, including the development and commercialization of the Jasmine energy management product. Mr. Germano has more than 43 years of experience in the electric and gas utility industry. Prior to his work on Jasmine, Mr. Germano held the position of Vice President of Customer Service for the Long Island Power Authority. In that role, Mr. Germano was responsible for all aspects of customer facing relationships for the utility, including Customer Service, Billing, Credit and Collections, Meter Reading, Rates, Load Forecasting, R&D, and Sales and Marketing. During his tenure at LIPA, Mr. Germano also held leadership roles in a number of local business organizations including Chairman of the Board of HIA-LI and the Long Island Business Development Council, chaired the EPRI member consortium focusing on Smart Grid research and development, and served on the Executive Boards of the NYS Smart Grid Consortium, the Advanced Energy Center at Stony Brook University, and the LI Forum for Technology. Over his career, Mr. Germano has also worked in increasingly responsible positions for the Long Island Lighting Company (Lilco), Gibbs and Hill Inc., American Electric Power, and Keyspan Energy. Mr. Germano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College, and a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Management from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, plus continuing education credits from Harvard University, Columbia University, and the University of Maryland.
