Improve Data Center Cooling Efficiency by 95%
Abstract: The fastest growing expense item today for any data center operator is energy.
While we have seen quantum improvement in the energy efficiency of computing equipment,
we have not seen a corresponding improvement in data center cooling efficiency.
The State of New York possesses the second most data centers in the U.S. behind only California.
Nearly 3% of electricity in the State of New York is used to power data centers, with nearly half
of all energy consumption being used to support cooling.
This session will showcase why Emerald Technologies flagship OptiCool Electronics Cooling Solution
(ECS) is the most efficient and effective electronics cooling solution on the planet.
OptiCool ECS has the potential to change fundamental data center design forever.
The innovative technology can reduce in-room energy use by up to 95%+, reduce the
cooling footprint by 90%+ and increase capacity by up to 500%. This presentation
will shed some light on how to design a cost-effective cooling strategy to Tier IV
standards or retrofit an existing data center while providing a solid ROI.
