Features of state-of-the-art biomass boilers
Abstract:
In the last 25 years, high energy costs and government incentives for alternative fuels
have created a dynamic biomass heating industry in Europe and recently these advanced
biomass boiler technologies are being introduced into the U.S. This presentation will
outline the features of state-of-the-art biomass boilers including: high-efficiency,
reduced emissions and user-friendly controls. The focus will be on commercial-scale systems.
Practical case studies of recent New York projects biomass heating projects and their economic,
social and environmental impact will be presented as well as the current opportunities and barriers for expanding
the biomass boiler market in New York.
