SPECIAL EVENT PARKING

The Office of Mobility & Parking Services coordinates parking needs for all Stony Brook University special events to include parking lot coordination assistance as best as possible, as dependent on the event date, time and size. Please contact the Office of Mobility & Parking Services at 631-632-6219 for additional information on special event parking, with the following information:

- Name

- Contact information

- Event name, date, time and location

- SB department/office and/or affiliation

- Estimated attendance

- Any special needs

SUMMER SESSION PARKING

During the summer session, commuter students may park in the following lots without a permit:

Green Commuter Lots: North P Lot, South P Lot, and the parking lot north of Gym Road in the west/center of campus

Resident Student Lots: Resident Zones 1 through 4

Summer session parking begins the day after Spring Commencement and ends the day before the start of Monday-Friday classes for the Fall semester.

WINTER SESSION PARKING

During the winter session, commuter students may park in the following lots without a permit:

• Green Commuter Lots: North P Lot, South P Lot, and the parking lot north of Gym Road in the west/center of campus.
• Resident Student Lots: Resident Zones 1 through 4, and 7.**
  
  **Please note that Zone 5 Residential Parking will continue to be enforced as Resident Only parking through Winter Session.

Resident students are allowed to park at their assigned building with their current resident parking permit.

Winter session parking begins the day after Fall Commencement and ends the day before the start of Monday-Friday classes for the Spring semester.
