Active Learning
Technology-enabled active learning environments have been shown to improve student’s
cognitive outcomes in comparison to traditional learning environments (Shi, Yang,
& McCleod, 2019, Beichner et al., 2007). Active Learning Classrooms (ALCs) feature
modular furniture and expanded AV equipment that allows for multiple device connectivity

Teaching Assistants & Postdocs
The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching supports Postdoctoral Associates
(Postdocs), Graduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Undergraduate Teaching Assistants
(UGTAs) in all aspects of your teaching. We offer several programs and initiatives
either specifically designed for Teaching Assistants, or with specialized cohorts
