CELT's Annual Teaching and Learning Colloquium

The Best Ideas in Education Start with You.

At Stony Brook, our most valuable teaching resource is a human resource--the inspiring and innovative faculty we work with every day. The Colloquium is an opportunity to reconnect with your colleagues, reinvigorate your teaching, and celebrate the ways in which we all contribute to the mission of excellence in our roles as educators.

Why should you come?

Our keynote speaker, Dr. James Stellar, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost at the University at Albany, will highlight how innovative teaching practices make real differences in knowledge retention in, “The Neuroscience of Experiential Education.”

Plus, master teachers and academic innovators at Stony Brook will address topics such as:

  • experiential learning,
  • accessibility,
  • helping all students succeed,
  • developing capstone projects that matter,
  • active learning strategies,
  • designing quality group projects in online classes,
  • using virtual notebooks,
  • connecting classrooms to the community,
  •  ...and much, much more.

View the full agenda here, and register today! The early bird discount expires on Friday, February 22nd.
