Testing Center
CELT manages Stony Brook University's Testing Center, located in Frey Hall Room 109. Our Testing Center Coordinator and team of Graduate Student Proctors monitor students completing their online or paper-based exams via a web-based camera system. There are 64 computer stations available. We do not manage testing accomodations; please visit the Student Accessibility Support Center website for information about accomodated testing.

Hours of Operation
Fall & Spring Semester Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8am-8pm
- Friday: 8am-4pm
January & Summer Hours
- Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm (open hours for appointments)
- By appointment only: Monday-Thursday, 8am-10am & 4pm-6pm

Highlights
- All 64 computer stations are equipped with webcams and compatible with Respondus Monitor
- We have 4 private testing rooms offering limited noise and distractions
- There are 4 stations equipped with MATLAB
- The center is open to all Stony Brook Students, even those taking an exam for a course at another institution

Our Procedures
- Students are required to bring a valid university ID
- Calculators will not be provided. Mobile devices cannot be used as a calculator.
- Our 4 private testing rooms are booked on a first-come, first-served basis
- For instructors scheduling a full class (30+ students), we recommend sending a TA to support proctoring and address content questions.
