Stony Brook University Advancement Earns Case District II Accolades
Stony Brook University’s comprehensive efforts to engage alumni and keep them connected to their alma mater have been honored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, as the University’s Office of Advancement received a pair of 2019 District II Accolades Awards.
“The connections that Stony Brook fosters with our alumni today are an integral part of the opportunities we create for the alumni of tomorrow,” said Senior Vice President of University Advancement Dexter A. Bailey Jr. “I’m incredibly proud of the dedicated professionals on our Advancement team, not only for these well-deserved honors, but for the work that they do every day.”
University Advancement received a Gold Award, the highest honor awarded by CASE District II, in the Social Media category for “Leveraging Digital Ads to Enhance Annual Giving, Event Attendance, and Stewardship.” This comprehensive program, led by Assistant Vice President for Advancement AJ Nagaraj, focuses on connecting Stony Brook alumni with the University news that’s most important to them through a series of targeted social media posts.
In addition, the Office of Alumni Relations received an Honorable Mention Award in the “Annual or Institutional Reports: Digital” category, presented for the Stony Brook Alumni Association 2016-17 Annual Report, under the direction of the Association’s Executive Director, Matthew Colson, and Advancement Communications Senior Graphic Designer Emanuel Saladino.
In total, Stony Brook University received five 2019 Accolades Awards for work produced by Stony Brook University’s Marketing and Communications, Advancement and Alumni Relations offices.
