ABOUT THE SCHOOL

There has never been a better time to pursue a graduate education at Stony Brook, where we currently offer graduate programs in 48 fields, all of which are part of the scholarly drive to answer critical questions and provide transformational solutions. CENTER FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

Center for Inclusive Education

  • Increase enrollment and retention of promising graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds through identification of grant opportunities and partnerships with other institutions
  • Fellowships for underrepresented groups
  • Seed grants for underrepresented graduate researchers

GRADUATE STUDENT FELLOWSHIP

Graduate Student Fellowship

  • Aid all but dissertation students in completing their research, fieldwork, archival or other dissertation-related efforts
  • Enable the Graduate School to continue to offer unique opportunities for graduate students to continue in their cutting edge research, scholarship, discovering solutions and developing advanced skills

DEAN'S FUND FOR EXCELLENCE

Dean’s Fund for Excellence

  • Develop plan for raising significant annual funds to robustly support the dean’s fund for excellence, allowing the Graduate School Dean the flexibility to respond to critical opportunities as they arise
  • Flexible funds can also be used to support a program that allows for graduate students to feel part of a larger community on campus, creating a sense of community across disciplines
