How Class Works Conference Grants
The How Class Works - 2012 Conference has funds available to help cover the costs of some conference attendees. Preference will be given to those traveling from outside the U.S. and Canada, people of color, graduate students, and non-academic workers. Others may also receive support. Note that the registration fees for students, retired people, and part time workers are already reduced by half. This application must be received at the address of the bottom of the form by April 16th, 2012. You will be notified on April 19, 2012.

Working Class Studies Assocation Travel Grants
The Working Class Studies Association is pleased to announce a small number of conference grants available to those on a low incomes to assist with travel, conference registration and accommodation costs for the 2012 How Class Works Conference to be held at SUNY at Stony Brook, NY.
Applications will be assessed on demonstrated financial need, and applicants should provide an estimated cost of attending the conference and an outline of their financial circumstances. All applications will be assessed in strict confidence.
Conference organizers and other interested parties may nominate an individual for a grant. Nominated applications must also include estimated costs and evidence of financial need.
One of the grants will be reserved for a graduate student who would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance.
Applications must be submitted electronically by April 24th 2012.
