Working Class Studies Assocation Travel Grants

The Working Class Studies Association is pleased to announce a small number of conference grants available to those on a low incomes to assist with travel, conference registration and accommodation costs for the 2010 How Class Works Conference to be held at SUNY at Stony Brook, NY.

Applications will be assessed on demonstrated financial need, and applicants should provide an estimated cost of attending the conference and an outline of their financial circumstances. All applications will be assessed in strict confidence.

Conference organizers and other interested parties may nominate an individual for a grant. Nominated applications must also include estimated costs and evidence of financial need.

One of the grants will be reserved for a graduate student who would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance.

Applications must be submitted electronically by March 31st 2010.
