Have you wondered what student life is like at Stony Brook University? Do you wish you could ask a current student at Stony Brook? How about two? In this video chat, current students Meg and Karthik give their insight on student life at Stony Brook University. Both students have held many leadership positions on campus including playing in the marching band, orientation leader, student ambassador, university scholar, and other leadership opportunities.
Throughout the video chat, Meg and Karthik discuss topics such as getting involved, student research, programming, weekend life, housing, undergraduate colleges, athletics, student employment, and why Stony Brook is a great school. Meg explains that Stony Brook has plenty of opportunities to get involved being that the university has 375+ clubs and organizations on campus. Karthik highlighted how students also get involved through student research opportunities and how some of them even offer compensation. They gave detailed descriptions of residential life on campus and how freshmen start their Stony Brook journey.
In the video chat, both students explained why they attended Stony Brook University and gave their stories about how came to this decision.
