Have interest in pursuing a Fine Arts degree in Art, Theater, or Music? Stony Brook is proud to offer majors in all three fields of interest. In this video, you will get advice from Chris, an admissions counselor, and Jared, a student currently in the Music program. They will break down each program and give you the inside scoop of what it means to be a Fine Arts student at Stony Brook University.
The Art program at Stony Brook University is broken down into two parts; Studio Art and Art History. Chris explains how the curriculum differs depending on which major you decide to pursue. Chris and Jared also discuss the benefits of being a Fine Arts student. Some of those benefits include discounted tickets for shows on campus, different venue options to hold practices, and being part of a tight knit community.
