3Name: Deanna
High School: Brooklyn Technical High School
Academic Year: Senior
Major: Health Science

Why this major?
Science, especially health science is a necessity. In a world filled with so many different diseases and illnesses, I want to be able to help people and improve their quality of life. The body is something we need to take care of, and I want to be the one with the knowledge and technology to assist people with that.

Favorite place to grab a bite on campus?
I love eating in Roth Quad. There’s such a wide selection from fast food like Wendy’s or Mama Leones (which specializes in pizza) to healthy subs or even rotisserie chicken which is just like Boston Market’s!

Favorite nearby off campus spot?
There’s a beach off 25A. It’s a nice place to just get away from the hustle and bustle of school and just relax for a bit.

TV character you’d like to switch places with?
I’d really want to be Victory Ford from Lipstick Jungle! She’s a talented fashion designer who meets a gazillionaire guy and falls in love. Her life is so extravagant and full of leaps of faith in hope of accomplishing something extraordinary.

What’s your dream job?
My dream job is to be on Broadway or to be a Radio City Rockette (but I don’t even come close to the 5’7 height requirement!) because I really enjoy dancing and performing. More in line with my current career path, I’d love to be some kind of university administrator like a Dean of Students so I can work with college students professionally.
