Stony Brook offers a number of Sequential and Combined Bachelor/Master degree programs which allow students to use graduate credits taken as an undergraduate toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees, thus reducing the normal time required to complete both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Sequential degrees require students to complete the Bachelor’s degree before the Master’s. The degrees are awarded sequentially, whereas combined degree programs require both degrees to be awarded simultaneously and only after both sets of requirements have been completed. Students can apply for admission to these Bachelor/Master degree programs after enrolling as an undergraduate at the University.

Fast Track Bachelor’s/MBA Program
The Stony Brook Fast Track Bachelor’s/MBA program combines a four-year undergraduate degree and a two-year MBA into a five-year program. Undergraduate students in this program take graduate MBA courses during the summer after their junior year, and during the spring and fall semesters of their senior year, so that they can enter the second year of the MBA program in the fifth year. It is designed for high-achieving students with a record of leadership and academic excellence. Candidates for this program may come from just about any major. (Click here for a list of majors that qualify.) Because students in this program will take 60 graduate credits in business, we require an undergraduate major outside of business. Business majors must have a double major to apply. Students should contact their primary department advisor, as well as the College of Business to discuss eligibility and specific requirements for this unique program. Please note that summer course work is required for timely completion of the MBA.
