High Achieving Students: Stony Brook University offers many exciting and unique opportunities for your high achieving students. Freshman applicants must complete their application for admission to the University for the fall semester by December 1, and the Supplemental Application by December 31 to receive the fullest consideration for merit scholarships and honors programs.

Notification of Admission Decisions: Freshman applicants arereviewed for admission to the University and notified after February 15. Those who indicate on their Supplemental Application that they wish to be considered for admission to honors programs will be reviewed after a decision has been made to admit them to the University. Notification begins in mid-March.
