Stony Brook Hosts EducationUSA Training Institute
Stony Brook University hosted the EducationUSA Training Institute from October 21-27, 2012. EducationUSA is a global network of hundreds of advising centers supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. EducationUSA Training Institutes are intensive training and professional development programs that provide EducationUSA advisers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their effectiveness and build professional competency.
Stony Brook hosted more than twenty EducationUSA advisers for an intensive week of training with a focus on enhancing adviser expertise. Enrollment and Retention Management staff facilitated a series of interactive training workshops, alongside colleagues from Adelphi University and Suffolk County Community College, on topics including:
