Domestic Regular Admission: Students are advised to apply for fall admission by March 1 and for spring admission no later than November 1. Applications received after these dates will be reviewed on a space-available basis.
International Regular Admission: Early completion of the application is crucial. For the fall semester the deadline for completed international applications is April 1; for the spring semester, it is October 1.
High Achievers: Transfer applicants must complete their application for admission to the University for the fall semester by December 1, and the Supplemental Application by December 31 to receive the fullest consideration for The Honors College.
Educational Opportunity Program: Stony Brook's Educational Opportunity Program/Advancement on Individual Merit (EOP/AIM) is for New York State residents who are economically and educationally disadvantaged. Students are advised to apply for fall admission by March 1; Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Admission of transfer students for the spring semester is contingent upon the availability of funding; students are encouraged to apply no later than November 1.
