The Health Science Center at Stony Brook offers the following undergraduate majors:
Freshman applicants interested in Health Sciences Center majors in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Health Science or Respiratory Care need only complete the SUNY application, indicating a curriculum code of 1208 for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, 0367 for Health Science, or 1128 for Respiratory Care.
Freshman applicants interested in any other Health Science Center major at Stony Brook need only complete the SUNY application, indicating a curriculum code of 0000. You'll be considered for admission as a freshman in Stony Brook's College of Arts & Sciences where you can enroll in the required course prerequisites. Then, once you've completed or anticipate completion of all prerequisites, you can file an HSC application to be considered for admission to the particular undergraduate health professions program at Stony Brook.
Transfer applicants without the prerequisites required for direct admission to a Health Sciences Center major at Stony Brook (Athletic Training, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Health Science, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Respiratory Care, Social Work) should complete the SUNY application, entering the curriculum code for a major in the College of Arts and Sciences (transfer students with more than 56 college credits must have a declared major to be eligible for Financial Aid). You'll be considered for admission as a transfer in Stony Brook's College of Arts & Sciences where you can enroll in the required course prerequisites. Then, once you've completed or anticipate completion of all prerequisites, you will file an HSC application to be considered for direct admission to the Health Science Center program of interest.
